Young
Artist’s Studio: Painting
Bring on the paint, the brushes and
the fun. In this workshop, young artists (Grades 1 – 6) will:
- Use paint, brushes and other tools to create line, shapes, patterns and texture.
- Consider how simple lines, shapes and color combine to create works of art.
- Discover the joy and technique of using color.
- Observe and talk about the work of famous artists.
- · Share our work and learn ways to talk about what we see and like.

About the
teacher: Tobi Kibel Piatek enjoys teaching creative kids. She is a lifelong
artist and designer, with years of experience teaching, and teaching about,
gifted kids. Her lively classes stimulate kids’ ideas and encourage them to
think creatively and critically as they work on challenging and interesting art
projects. She has a degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in New York.
