This is one of my favorite floral drawings. I drew it during my summer vacation, with sharpie and Prismacolor markers, enjoying sunshine and ocean breezes.
I used zentangle flower forms as inspiration, adding pattern and color to both the flowers and the vase. I left lots of open (white) areas because I had an idea. I printed this image onto a sheet of transparent acetate using my trusty laser color printer. The results were better than I even hoped. On the transparent material, it's like looking through glass.
I mount the acetate on whatever color I am in the mood for, or put in on the window in my studio.
